Editorial Board Structure
The Editorial Board of Wren Research Journals is composed of an Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board members. The Editor-in-Chief serves as the chairperson, with the authority to make final decisions on all matters. The formation of the Editorial Board involves recruiting global experts with outstanding academic backgrounds and expertise in relevant subjects. There is no limit to the number of Editorial Board members. Editorial board members must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject.
- Demonstrate a strong publication record.
- Maintain an academic position in Universities, Research Institutes, or similar organizations.
Editorial Board Responsibilities:
- Editorial board members must follow the directives provided by the Editor-in-Chief.
- Upon completion of plagiarism checks, articles are assigned to editors. If the article aligns with the Editor's research interests, they are expected to accept the assignment promptly. If unable to do so, editors should inform the Editorial Office promptly.
- Editors should avoid conflicts of interest with assignments. If a conflict arises, they should decline the assignment and provide a valid reason to the Editorial Office.
- Every author should be treated with dignity and fairness by editors, regardless of the article's outcome.
- Editors must uphold honesty and transparency, ensuring equitable judgment of each submission.
- The Editor-in-Chief has the authority to make final decisions on publication matters.
- Editors may provide submission guidelines and oversee the submission process when necessary.
- Confidentiality must be maintained regarding author, reviewer, and article information.
- Editors are responsible for ensuring a timely and transparent peer review process.
- Final decisions on assigned articles, along with clear reasons and explanations, should be provided by editors within the allotted time.
- Editors are accountable for any queries regarding editorial decisions and must respond promptly and clearly with reasons.
- Editors must maintain communication with the Editorial Office regarding any information related to the publication process.
- Alongside the publisher, Editorial Board members are responsible for timely publication of accepted articles.
- Editors are responsible for selecting potential reviewers based on their expertise and monitoring the review process.
- Reviewers must be informed of confidentiality obligations and refrain from using any part of the work they review.
- Editors should convey journal expectations to reviewers regarding review scope, quality, and timeliness.
- When special issue proposals are submitted, Editorial Board members should review them for suitability and relevance.
- Guest Editors can independently handle special issues while maintaining communication with the Editorial Board member and Editorial Office.
- Editorial Board members may recommend timely topics and suggest potential guest Editors.
- Editors may occasionally attend Editorial Board meetings for journal improvement discussions.
- Editors are responsible for coordinating critical decisions with the Editorial Office, such as retractions.
- Editors are expected to provide input on timely topics and author pools.
- Editors should ensure smooth coordination with the publishing house.
- Creative input from Editors regarding reader preferences within the subject scope is valuable.
- Editors must adhere to guidelines and protocols provided by the publishing house.
